<p>The invention relates to a strengthening material, for instance for use as textile reinforcement in composites, comprising at least one thickness-providing layer formed by a non-woven or a knit of glass fibre and at least one strengthening layer connected thereto on at least one side thereof, wherein at least one of both strengthening layers is preferably embodied in glass fibre.
