IMAGE PROJECTING SCREEN AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE: To accurately form black stripes in a part of an image projecting screen where no light beam outgoes. CONSTITUTION: After a transparent lenticular lens sheet 51 having lenticular lenses on one surface is formed, a positive photosensitive resin 52a is applied on the other surface of the sheet and irradiated with light through the lenticular lens side. The positive photosensitive resin is selectively exposed to light by the condensing function of the lenticular lenses to form recesses 53. Black stripes comprising a light-absorbing material are formed in the recesses 53. By forming the black stripes by an optical treatment, a lenticular lens screen having high contrast, small optical loss and fine pitch can be formed.
