PURPOSE: To prevent fast abrasion by performing regenerative braking of a motor by brake torque computed from a difference between a vehicle speed and a set speed when an actual vehicle speed is made larger than a specific speed per hour even without operating an accelerator to eliminate the frequent operation of a brake. CONSTITUTION: An actual vehicle speed Vr is detected by a vehicle speed detecting device 3. A controller 5 is provided in which when the actual vehicle speed Vr is made largerαspeed per hour than a predetermined set speed Vo in spite an accelerator is not operated, the regenerative braking of a motor is performed by brake torque computed from a difference between the actual vehicle speed Vr and the set speed Vo. Therefore, when a vehicle runs a long downward slope, a vehicle speed can be prevented from being increased move than a set speed +αwithout operating a brake, thereby preventing the abrasion of a brake. |
