<p>Abrasive material for lining brake shoes for railway stock comprises 3-25 wt % hardenable rubber binder, 20-70% mineral fillers, 2-12% fibres and is not >1 vol % Pt and/or lead oxides. Mixt. also opt. contains 1-30 wt % phenolic resin. The brake lining is less abrasive to the relatively soft steel used for wheels in Europe, than previous compsns.</p> |
