PURPOSE: To suppress and highly accurately compensate nonlinear distortion generated in an amplifier relating to the communication equipment of a radio communication system using a digital modulation system. CONSTITUTION: This transmitter is provided with a power calculation part 102 for obtaining the power of transmission signals from digitally modulated transmission orthogonal base band signals 101 by calculation, a table reference part 014 for referring to a prepared nonlinear distortion compensation table by using the value 103 of the calculated power and a nonlinear distortion compensation part 106 for compensating the nonlinear distortion of the orthogonal base band signals by using complex distortion compensation data 105 referred to. Then, by referring to the table by using the power value 103 of the transmission signals, the size of the table reference part 104 is substantially reduced. Also, by compensating the nonlinear distortion by using a digital complex product in the nonlinear distortion compensation part 106, the effect of an analog circuit is suppressed. |
