The footwear has a thin sole (1) moulded in thermoplastic rubber and its edge is folded upwards This edge is stitched (4) to the edge of the upper (3). An inner sole is bonded to an intermediate flexible element (5) and the edge of this ensemble is stitched to the edge of the upper and sole. The outer surface of the edge of the sole is placed against the outer surface of the sole before stitching. After fixing the inner sole the shoe is turned inside out so that the stitching is inside.
