The brake pedal locking system has a box (1) receiving and electromechanical assembly and has a cable (11) that ensures traction of a hinged arm (21) so the arm presses against the stem of the brake pedal (20). The same moving arm interrupts the electrical path to the starter solenoid via a contact (23) that is normally closed when the locking device has been released. The electromechanical assembly is an electric motor (2) that can rotate in either sense. The motor drives a screw (7), displacing a block running on the screw. The block is at the end of a lever which exerts tension on the cable or releases it. The motor is controlled by locking of the vehicle and by release of the central locking system. |
