PURPOSE: To sharply cut infrared rays with a desiring cutting wavelength by forming an ITO film consisting of In2 O3 and SnO2 and a dielectric film on a light transmissive glass substrate. CONSTITUTION: A filter 1 for cutting wide band head rays is produced by forming an ITO film 3 consisting of In2 O3 and SnO2 on a light transmissive glass substrate 2 and forming a dielectric film 4 consisting of reciprocal multilayers of SiO2 films and TiO2 films further on the substrate. It is preferable that the dielectric film 4 consists of reciprocal layers of at least two kinds of compounds selected from TiO3 , Ta2 O5 , ZrO2 , Al2 O3 , Nb2 O5 , ZnS, SiO2 , and MgF3 . |
