PURPOSE: To provide a nonaqueous secondary battery which can avoid sudden outgassing even if crushed at the application of large external forces to ensure high safety by enclosing a center pin of specific shape in a cavity in the center of a solid constituting spiral electrodes. CONSTITUTION: This nonaqueous secondary battery has electrodes enclosed in a storage pipe, the electrodes comprising negative and positive electrodes combined, with a separator between them, into a spiral solid having a cavity in its center with a hollow cylindrical center pin placed in the cavity at the center of the solid. The center pin is notched at both of its circumferential ends and is eccentric. |
