FIELD: method of catalytic electrochemical reduction of nitrate at least to elementary nitrogen in water solutions on cathode. SUBSTANCE: aim is using the nitrate reduction to denitrate also concentrated water solutions, that have salts. In the case water solution is fed into cathode space of electrolyzer cell, in which cathode and anode spaces are separated from each other by membrane of cation-exchanger, and tension is created in the area of electrolyzer. EFFECT: improved process of denitration.
