PURPOSE: To obtain an optical recording and reproducing device with which high-speed recording/reproducing by adopting multi-channels, etc., are possible by making it possible to adjust the deflection angle of a deflection mirror with a lessened space and high accuracy. CONSTITUTION: The deflection mirror 1 is of a prism shape and its both side faces and rear surface are elastically held by an adjusting member 20 having a cylindrical outer peripheral part 20a which rotates nearly around the optical axis 41 of the exit light thereof. The mirror 1 has the face orthogonal with the axis of rotation as a substrate to be supported, and opposedly to this, a surface 30 to be supported is formed on a head body. While the substrate to be supported is slid on the supporting surface 30, the cylindrical outer peripheral part 20a is forcibly slid along a cylindrical inner peripheral surface 25 to rotate the mirror 1 held by the member 20, thereby, the adjustment of the deflection angle in the track direction on a recording medium is made possible. Then, the incident angle on the objective lens at the time of arranging a recording spot and a reproducing spot on the same track is made possible and, therefore, the setting of the best incident angle with respect to the track direction is easily executed. |
