PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single high voltage power supply for an electrophotographic printer provided with plural developing units. SOLUTION: A high voltage AC power supply receives a select signal showing which developing unit is now in the operational state among plural units. If one and single developing unit is in the operational state, an AC power supply outputs one AC voltage. A switching network 102 is connected to a high voltage AC(HVAC) power supply and the respective developing units. The switching network 102 receives a select signal and sends AC voltage to the operational developing unit through wiring. The stress to a switching element of the switching network 102 is reduced by suitably sequencing the application and elimination of HVAC and reconfiguration of the network. |
