The cultivation consists of a mixture of stabilised wood pieces coloured with resin, associated with a plant mosaic, utilises a frame (1) with a surface grille of tight chicken wire (7). This grille allows retaining a substratum (4), but above all the inorganic/resin mixture. The zones intended for the inorganic mosaic cultivation (11) are pressed manually with pieces of wood which are moulded to the desired shape. The recommended thickness of 4 cm of the inorganic mixture is divided into 2.5 cm under the grille and 1.5 cm above the grille. The frame is filled horizontally with successive layers of substratum (4) having an absorbent rock wool base, vermiculite and fertiliser for water retention and enriched peat. An irrigation coil, necessary for the plants, is formed from porous pipes with a spacing of about 30 cm in the substratum.
