<p>An ophthalmological composition which comprises activated vitamin D as the active ingredient for preventing optical transparency inhibition, ocular hypertension or refraction error caused by cell hyperplasia and/or cellular metabolite hyperplasia in anterior ophthalmic cells in the process of postoperative repair of tissues damaged by an ophthalmological operation. When dropped into the eyes after operation for cataract, intraocular lens transplantation, corneal operation, etc., the composition makes it possible to maintain the transparency in the anterior eyeballs. Also, it suppresses cell hyperplasia and/or cellular metabolite hyperplasia in anterior ophthalmic cells in the process of repair of damaged tissues to thereby prevent diminution of vision.</p> |
