A vehicle wheel with a seamless air inflated tyre made of rubber or similar material has a body (4) comprising one or more sections and has an internal rim (1). The tyre (3) essentially encloses the rim on its inner facing side, and is fixed to the inner side of the rim. The rim is extended radially outwards at its axial rim edges. These extensions (2) are provided as essentially axial mounting surfaces for the corresponding side wall of the tyre (9), and extend to a radial height which is 0.15-0.55 times the maximum tyre height (H), and preferably 0.2-0.3 times the maximum tyre height.
