Prefabricated concrete balcony

The balcony has a plate (5) protruding beyond the building outside wall (15), and which is fixed to a floor plate (6) at the same level. The separation joint (10) is filled with insulating blocks of plastics foam, which are secured together by a tension member (12) at the top and a thrust one at the bottom. Each tension member has tie-bars (16,21) with protruding edges grouted into the plates and with exposed threaded ends (20). Separate sleeves (26,27) screw onto the threaded ends, and are coupled together by a link (30) allowing pivoting on a vertical axis (V). The link can consist of a flat iron strip, hinging on the sleeves at each of its ends. The sleeve ends are forked, the link fitting between the jaws (33,34), which accommodate transverse hinge pins (40,41). The threaded bar ends can be accommodated in recesses (18,13) in the plates and which are open at the top.
