In addition to the rubber spokes (4) between hub and rotating ring, the hub ring (2) should also be made of rubber and goes over integrally into the connecting spokes, pref. using two axially arranged rows of spokes with a gap between. The hub ring is reinforced peripherally by an embedded inlay (5) in lattice form and the radial thickness of the hub ring is 0.5-1.5 times the radial length of the spokes, pref. 0.8-1.2 times. Normally when the vibration absorber is installed, the radial expansion of the hub ring necessarily compresses the spokes and so presses the hub ever more tightly to the cylindrical machine part. To avoid this the radial thickness of the ring gradually diminishes between the spokes as it moves further away from these so as to produce balanced and uniform contact pressure.
