PURPOSE: To prepare a pressure-sensitive recording developer composition having the excellent preservation stability of color developing image by mixing a developer of a polyvalent metallic salt of a salicylic acid derivative with the compound represented by a specific general formula or a metallic salt of the compound. CONSTITUTION: This developer containing a polyvalent metallic salt of a salicylic acid derivative as an ingredient is mixed with a compound represented by the general formula (X1 and X2 are each a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aralkyl group, an aryl group or a halogen atom, Y is a sulfur atom or -NH-) or its metallic salt to obtain a pressure-sensitive recording developer composition. A water dispersion fluid of the obtained developer composition is prepared, and a support is coated with the fluid to manufacture a pressure-sensitive recording sheet.
