<p>PURPOSE: To make it possible to assure the stable directivity of hitting and.to assure the carry to an aimed point by forming a recessed part having the thickness of the face part decreasing successively toward the sweat spot of the face part from the top side, sole side, toe side and heel side exclusive of the peripheral edge in the back part of a head body. CONSTITUTION: The recessed part 35 having the thickness of the face part 31 successively decreasing toward the sweat spot SS of the face part 31 from the top side, sole side, toe side and heel side, respectively, of the head body 25 excluding the peripheral edge is formed in the back part 33 of the head body 25 by four pieces of inclined face 35a to 35d. The sweat spot SS is provided thereon with the thin part 37 of the smallest thickness of the face part 31. The weight of the head body 26 is dispersed to the peripheral edge part if the head body is formed in such a manner and, therefore, the deviation of the head body 25 in a vertical direction or the hook or slice of the hit ball by the deviation of the head body 25 when the ball is hit by this golf club does not arise any more.</p> |
