PURPOSE: To provide a device for separating and recovering plastic in which it is prevented that foamed Styrol floating in a charging path causes hindrance to plastic charged hereafter and both material having low specific gravity and being suitable for conversion into oil and polyvinyl chloride unsuitable for conversion into oil are separated and recovered with extremely good precision. CONSTITUTION: This device for separating and recovering plastic consists of both a separation tank 1 for separating the mixture of plastic into a material having low specific gravity and a material having high specific gravity and a slurry charging port 2 provided in the lower end part of the side wall 1a of the separation tank 1 so as to send the charging material under the liquid level in the separation tank 1. Furthermore, the device for separating and recovering plastic is equipped with a slurry regulation tank 4 for regulating ground plastic material to a slurry state, a slurry supply path 5 for feeding slurry of the ground plastic material from the slurry regulation tank 4 to the charging port 2 and a pump 6 which is provided in the slurry supply path 5 and feeds slurry.
