The relationship between a physical measured value, e.g. water quantity in m<3>/sec, and the output signal pulse frequency f(Hz) of a measuring device, is graphically represented by a straight line (fg), which because of various effects does not pass through the origin of the co-ordinate system of the representation. This is a particular disadvantage if the measured value is represented by the frequency of a sequence of pulses, and the pulses are counted by counters. By superimposing (adding or subtracting) correction pulses over the converter pulses, the straight line is displaced (fgkorr), so that it passes through the origin, and the relationship between measured value and number of pulses is changed, so that it is directly proportional. The requirements for correct superimposition, and an electronic circuit for this purpose, are explained. <IMAGE> |
