PURPOSE: To reduce a wiring amount for a rear wheel steering system to reduce an electric power loss in the wiring for the electric power system, while making the wiring parts of a sensor and control unit difficult to be affected by electric noises, and improve the reliability by preventing an electronic control unit from the influence of abnormalities happening in the actuator side. CONSTITUTION: A servo unit SVU provided in a control unit 9 connected to a sensor and a rear wheel steering mechanism 11 has an independent digital processor to monitor the communication condition by inter-connecting both with a communication line. When abnormalities take place in the communication, a microcomputer of servo unit SVU is reset by the control unit, while electric power supplied to a driver DV 3 for driving an electric motor 12 is shut off. |
