PURPOSE: To produce a magnetic material as small as possible in iron loss and to provide a method for producing the same. CONSTITUTION: Foil having a material compsn. expressed by the general formula of Fea Cob Mc Xd Be (M denotes one or two kinds of elements selected from Al and Ge and X denotes one or >= two kinds of elements selected from Si, P and C) and in which the compositional ratios are regulated to 0<a<=7, 60<b<=75, 0<c<=15, 10<=d<=35 and 10<e<=35, respectively is subjected to heat treatment at 300 to 470 deg.C for prescribed time, by which the loss is reduced to about half compared to that in the conventional FeCoSiB-base material and energy loss can be reduced in the case of being used for a transformer, so that, it can suitably the utilized even for an electric source executing high frequency switching of about 1MHz or the like. |
