FIELD: recovery of placer platinum containing uranium and thorium radionuclides and noble metals. SUBSTANCE: method involves oxidizing roasting in air environment at 1473 to 1773 K for 0.50 to 0.66 h, oxidizing during melting in air environment under flux CaO•SiOintroduced in amount of 1:10 to 1: 12 mass of source material, melt heating in air environment to 2123 2173 K, and isometric exposure to air environment at same temperature for 0.3-0.50 h followed by separation of slag from metal. EFFECT: improved degree of extraction of radionuclides during benefication of target product with noble metals due to selective extraction of uranium and thorium into slag phase. 1 cl, 1 tbl |
