The detector f, includes a first delay line (10) for delaying the input signal, a first subtraction device (11) for subtracting an output of the first delay line from the input signal, and a second delay line (12) for delaying an output of the first subtraction device. Also included is an addition device (13) for adding an output of the second delay line to an output of the first subtraction device, a gate-signal generator, and a second subtraction device for subtracting the output of the subtraction device from the input signal, and a selection device (16) for selecting an output of the second subtraction device, according to the gate signal which is generated by comparing an output of the addition device with a given threshold value.
