Each tubular insertion section (3,4) has a single slot (5,6) so these oppose one another diagonally and extend right up to the rod tube opening end parting. The end parting should be ringed by a rib piece, and the slot width amounts to 1/80 th part of the circumference of the insertion section specified (3,4). The OD of the insertion sections or their peripheral contour equals the inside wall diameter or inside wall contours of the respective tube section openings. A plastics sleeve round the rod tubes at their join keeps the two tube parts in register and joins their respective openings. Assuming insertion section diameter of 2.5 mm and wall thickness of 5 mm, the slots amount to 1 mm in width and with insertion section length at 2.1 cm, so the attendant slot length amounts to 1.9 cm.
