The appts. for accelerating electrical switching processes comprises accelerating the electrical current, whilst the electrons flowing in an electrical conductor are deviated. A bush (2) consisting of Cl in solid form is arranged at a distance concentric to the conductor (1). The bushing is infiltrated with Cr and Cu particles (3,4). The free space (5) between the conductor (1) and the bushing (2) is filled with glass, which is filled with Cu particles (7). At the outlet, the bushing is connected to a pipe (9) feeding accelerated electrical current.
