A composition containing a crosslinked product derived from a water-soluble polysaccharide and biologically active ingredient, preferably, microcapsules retaining a biologically active ingredient in the crosslinked product derived from a water-soluble polysaccharide, in which a biologically active ingredient is incorporated in a high efficiency, and the composition has an excellent prolonged release effect, the composition of this invention can be prepared by a convenient and safe manner without necessity of using an organic solvent. Furthermore, by allowing one of the biologically active ingredients which are incompatible to one another to be enclosed in microcapsules, a mixed composition containing these biologically active ingredients can be provided by using the composition of this invention. |
