<p>The method involves the addition of a colouring agent to part of the ready mixed slab material. A patterned mould plate (13) is placed on top of the empty slab press form (8). The differently coloured material is placed on the mould plate and, when the mould plate is removed, passes the through the holes (16) to form mounds or pools as required on to the base of the slab form. The amount of coloured material deposited and the shape and patterns on the finished slab is determined by the design and positioning of mould plate. The second layer of slab material is then put in the form and the slab is pressed.</p> |
