PURPOSE: To eliminate an excess storage of carbon between a mesh belt and a skid rail without reducing productivity and to easily remove the carbon by interrupting sintering. CONSTITUTION: Skid rails 20a in a prebaking chamber of a sintering furnace are formed of a front stage 22a, an intermediate stage 22b and a rear stage 22c, which are formed of four rail members 21, three rail members 21 and four rail members 21. Each member 21 has a regular hexagonal sectional shape to support a mesh belt 10 at one outer periphery. Shafts 21a are integrally provided at both ends of each member 21, and rotatably supported around the axis of an arrow X to a fixed support plate 21c provided only near both ends of the member 21 via bearings 21b. |
