PURPOSE: To prevent a converter which is operated in an interlocking way with a system through circuit breakers from getting shocks when the operation of the converter is switched to isolated operation by opening one of the circuit breakers. CONSTITUTION: Soft starting functions are given to active/reactive component voltage reference circuits 40A and 40B so that the output of a voltage control circuit 31 can gradually rise to an active/reactive component voltage command from the added value 20c of the outputs of a power control circuit 20 and voltage computing circuit 11 immediately before the operation of a converter 2 is switched at the time of switching the operation interconnection operation in which the converter 2 is operated by using the value 20c by closing circuit breakers 4A and 4B to single operation in which the converter 2 is operated through the circuits 40A and 40B and 31 by opening the circuit breaker 4B. |
