PURPOSE: To provide a sealing structure for a plunger pump or the like, allowing an automatic additional tightening work to be done and a maintenance control work to be lessened. CONSTITUTION: This structure has a shaft member 2 inserted in a case body 1, a packing 3 laid between the case body 1 and the shaft member 2, a packing presser for pressing the packing 3 to the deep end of the internal space of the case body 1, and a nut 5 coupled to the base end of the presser 4. Also, the presser 4 is moved to compress the packing 3. Regarding the structure so formed, the nut 5 is provided with a tightening mechanism for the turning motion thereof along a tightening direction. |
