PURPOSE: To reduce power consumption at room temperature or in normal conditions, to reduce the current value in a tripped condition (self-heated by an excessive current and changed to a high resistance), and to make small the leakage current value when a circuit is heated up to a high temperature in the conductive polymer device used for circuit protection of various kinds of electronic machines as a current control element or an overheat protective element. CONSTITUTION: The peak resistance value becomes 10<7> times or more of that in the normal case and the temperature coefficientαof the resistance becomes 70% or more by the structure provided with the element of composition, which is provided with aa kind of polymer component, consisting of an olefin crystalline polymer or a fluorocarbon crystalline polymer, and conductive fillers of carbon black having an average grain diameter of 200 to 400nm and the specific surface area of 5 to 15m<2> /g, which is dispersed into the polymer component, and also the structure is provided with two electrodes.
