PURPOSE: To reduce cost and mounting space by reducing the number of parts necessary for optical communication using clocks. CONSTITUTION: When transmission is instructed by a signal CONT, a serial controller 1 outputs data from a TXD terminal synchronously with a synchronous signal received by a photodiode 7 and inputted to a TXC terminal. The data outputted from the controller 1 is selected by a data selector 4 and transmitted by an LED 5. At the time of instructing reception, a clock CLK selected by the selector 4 is transmitted. Thereby the controller 1 inputs data received by the photodiode 7 and selected by a data selector 14 synchronously with the clock CLK. |
