PURPOSE: To eliminate engaging and expanding processes after a vulcanization for applying pre-compression to an elastic body, and shorten the number of processes and reduce cost, regarding a method for manufacturing a damper having a mass body connected to a hub via an elastic body of rubber type resilient material. CONSTITUTION: When a hub 4 and a mass body 6 are inserted in the cavity 2 of a vulcanizing mold 1 for vulcanizing and forming an elastic body, the engagement section 3 of the mold 1 is used to elastically deform one or both of the hub 4 and the body 6, and pre-compression is thereby applied to the mass body 6 through a spring-back effect after the forming process. |
