PURPOSE: To produce a hydrogen storage alloy of AB2 type Laves phase, increased in the amount of available hydrogen transfer. CONSTITUTION: This hydrogen storage alloy is composed of a Laves phase alloy represented by the formula, Tia Zr1-a M2 (where M is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Mn, Cr, V, Fe, Co, and Mo and 0<=a<=1 is satisfied), and further, <=2 atomic % of at least one nonmetallic element selected from the group consisting of B, C, N, S, and Se is incorporated into this alloy. |
