A microwave oven comprises an oven cavity, a microwave radiation source for feeding microwaves to the cavity, and an oven door with a window. Mist formation on the inside of the window is prevented by an air stream directed thereto. A shutter device, which comprises a shutter housing (10) and a shutter plate (11) that is pivotable about a pivot axis (25), is arranged for shutting off the air stream. The shutter plate (11) is pivoted by an operating means (13), which produces a movement in line with the pivot axis, and a motion converter (12), which converts this movement to a pivotal movement of the shutter plate (11). <IMAGE> |
