Appts. for sepg. thin slices of mushrooms or similar prods. which are susceptible to forming a mass, prior to subsequent treatment, e.g. deep freezing in liq. nitrogen, comprises: (i) a conveyor (4) travelling at a speed (Ve) such that the slices (P) are dispersed, and exerting a shear force between the slices which are stuck together in order to separate them; and (ii) a series of transverse bars (8) oscillating away from and towards the conveyor with such an amplitude that the bars constitute an obstacle to the slices to promote separation. |
