<p>PURPOSE: To facilitate the loading of paper and the removal of a jammed paper, in a printer of an electrophotographic system for use in consecutive printing where an operator faces the printing side of the printing paper and paper supply is allowed from the front of the printer. CONSTITUTION: A paper carrying part 8 can rotate around its rotary shaft 15 which is parallel to the rotary shaft 16 of a photoconductor 1. The rotary shaft 15 of the paper carrying part 8 is arranged so that, in a transfer unit 6, the paper carrying part 8 can move almost in the direction of the tangent of the photoconductor 1. A tractor 7 being the component of the paper carrying part 8 is moved to the vicinity of the outer cover 17 of the front of the device by the movement of the paper carrying part 8.</p> |
