<p>PURPOSE: To manufacture an electron source substrate with a uniform electrode pattern and stable property by transferring ink filled in a preset pattern and specified depth of recess in a recessed plate to a substrate via a blanket. CONSTITUTION: A 4-15μm deep recess 29 corresponding to an electrode pattern shape is formed on the surface of a metal recessed plate 22. The recess 29 is filled with ink 25 by an ink supply device 21. The ink 25 is preferably 7-15wt.% organic metal compound including Pt, Au, Pd, Ag, etc., with a viscosity of 1000-10000cps. A blanket 27 containing silicon rubber is pushed against the recessed plate 22 with a pressure of 50-200μm. The ink in the recess is accepted on the blanket 27. Then, the blanket 27 is put in contact with the surface of the substrate 23 to transfer the ink 23 accepted on the blanket to a substrate. In this way, an electron source substrate which has a uniform electrode and a stable electron emission element arranged is provided.</p> |
