PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical sensor having a high conductivity and a high sensitivity. SOLUTION: This electrochemical sensor includes a supporting material with a noble metal surface and a monolayer of a substantially uniform thickness on the surface of the supporting material which is adsorbed and bonded to the supporting material. The monolayer includes bonding molecules bonded to the supporting material via an anchor group. The bonding molecules are coupled with enzymically active protein by ion bonding, covalent bonding or metallic chelate bonding, and moreover the covering rate of the bonding molecules to the supporting material is smaller than the maximum covering rate in this electrochemical sensor. |
