PURPOSE: To obtain an system for electrolyzing a metallic sample quickly in which metallic element and nonmetallic element, e.g. phosphorus or sulfur, can be analyzed with high sensitivity by plasma emission analysis. CONSTITUTION: In the system for electrolyzing a metallic sample, a graphite electrode, i.e., a counter electrode 2, penetrates a cell body 1 vertically in the center thereof and a membrane 4 is mounted on a sample supporting part 5 while being sandwiched by seal members 3, 3'. When a metallic sample 7 is mounted on the seal member 3', electrolytic chambers are defined on the sample side and the counter electrode side while being separated through the membrane 4. Electrolyte can be communicated between both the electrolytic chambers through a counter electrode side electrolyte channel and sample side electrolyte channels 9, 9 made in the cell body 1. The sample side electrolyte channels 9' is connected with an analyzer. |
