PURPOSE: To obtain a connector which lessens the unequal temp. of a resin, is capable of suppressing the intrusion of air bubbles and further, features high accuracy and good transferability by providing the connector with a resin injection path for connecting resin injection holes and V-grooves for bold pins. CONSTITUTION: This optical connector is molded in parts of cavities 11, 21 by heating metal molds 1, 2 and a core 3 and injecting an epoxy resin therein. The resin press fitted from the resin injection hole 14 is introduced through the resin injection paths 26 and the spacings 32 between the V-grooves 25 for the bold pins and the bold pins 4 into the cavities 11, 21 and is admitted in a direction parallel with the bold pins 4 and fine pins 5 arranged within the cavities in a state of holding the core 3 between the upper and lower metal molds 1, 2. At this time, the resin flows along the fine pins 5 in the cavities and, therefore, the bending force is not applied on the fine pins 5. The sectional shape of the V-grooves 25 for the bold pins may be changed or a bypass may be formed if the spacings 32 are narrow and the flow of the resin is slow. |
