PURPOSE: To generate plural musical sounds without any delay by the automatic playing device which reproduces the musical sound by reading waveform data out of a magnetic recording medium. CONSTITUTION: A playing sequence information memory 5 serializes and stores performance information for an automatic performance (data specifying waveform data to be read out and data showing the output timing of the waveform data). A sound generation channel allocation part 2 allocates the performance information stored in the performance sequence information memory 5 to one of sound generation channels CHO-CHN and specifies the output timing of a musical sound on the basis of the performance information. A disk control part 3 reads the waveform data specified with the performance information out of the magnetic disk 25 and transfers the data to the one allocated sound generation channel among CHO-CHN before the output timing. |
