An absolute value recording facility (15) is provided for recording the absolute value as an output value of the coder (13) in the permanent storage (14). Also a read out facility (26) for reading out the absolute value from the coder, for the present pointer position. The absolute value recording facility is activated, if an operating switch is switched on or an activating signal is received from an external dedicated system. Also included in a CPU (24), a timer (19) and a counter (17) for recording an absolute value in a determined alteration point for each number as an output value.
