PURPOSE: To obtain a photoreactive harmful substance removing material for separating and removing harmful substances such as malodor or bacteria with light by using a composite body composed of a photoreactive semiconductor, a carrier and a flame resistant thermoplastic resin jointly with a flame-resistant air permeable sheet, provided with practical various conditions such as flame resistance property and easy to handle. CONSTITUTION: The composite body is formed by mixing a carrier body having the photoreactive semiconductor adsorbed on a carrier with the flame resistant thermoplastic resin and kneading in a condition equal to above the m.p. of the thermoplastic resin. And the composite body is interposed between the flame resistant air permeable sheets of >=2 layers and treated in the condition of equal to above the m.p. of the thermoplastic resin to be integrated. As the photoreactive semiconductor, titanium oxide is particularly preferable in the view point of excellent deodorizing property. As the carrier, activated carbon or zeolite as one excellent in adsorption power and iron sesquioxide as one having catalytic activity are exemplified. As the thermoplastic resin, an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer or the modified polymer is exemplified. As the form of the flame resistant air permeable sheet, an unwoven fabric-like one is particularly preferable. |
