PURPOSE: To obtain the subject compound expressed by a specific formula, capable of providing a magnetic recording medium having stable sliding characteristics and remarkably reducing cost in coating and useful as a lubricating agent. CONSTITUTION: This compound is expressed by the formula [R1 and R2 are each a 4-34C (unsaturated) saturated hydrocarbon, a polyether, a polyester, a polyamide or a polycarbonate; Z1 and Z2 are each amine bond, ether bond, urethane bond, urea bond and amine salt bond produced by reaction of a carboxylic acid with an amine; R3 is (CH2 )x (CF2 )y (CH2 )z , where (x) and (z) are each 1-4; (y) 4-34]. Furthermore, the compound is preferably obtained by reacting a functional group of a fluorinated compound (containing OH, carboxyl, amino, isocyanate or epoxy group, etc., at both ends of the molecule) with a functional group of an unfluorinated compound and bonding both materials by amino bond, ether bond, urethane bond, etc. |
