PURPOSE: To provide an image recording apparatus holding stable gradation density regardless of black and white or color recording without omitting pixels to obtain a high-grade recording image. CONSTITUTION: An image recording apparatus is equipped with a plurality of recording heads 1Bk1, 1Bk2 respectively having recording elements different in the size of pixels to be recorded, a selection means 31 of the modes related to the kinds of recording and control means 33, 36 performing control so as to use the corresponding recording head among a plurality of the recording heads according to the mode selected by the selection means. |
