PURPOSE: To use an N-substituted phenylmaleimide in combination with a specific sulfide derivative or additionally with tetrachloroisophthalonitrile to give an antifouling agent for fishing net having a practical level of the effect with environmental pollution reduced. CONSTITUTION: This fish net-antifouling agent contains, as an active ingredient, a combination of a compound of formula I (X<1> , X<2> are each H, a halogen; N is 1-3; Ys are each a halogen or a lower alkyl) with a compound of formula II (R<1> is a 1-20C alkyl; m is 2-10). Further, tetrachloroisophthalonitrile may be added to the combination. The compound of formula I is, for example, N-[2-(or 3-, 4-)chlorophenyl]maleimide, formula II is, for example, diethylpentasulfide. The total amounts of compounds of formula I, formula II and/or tetrachloroisophthalonitrile are 3-30 pts.wt., particularly 8-20 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. |
