<p>A method for immobilizing a ligand by the use of a carrier prepared by reacting a solvent-insoluble carrier having aldehyde groups with a compound of general formula (a), by which a ligand or a compound having a ligand bonded thereto can efficiently and specifically be reacted with the aldehyde group of the carrier at a specific site to form a stable bond wherein: X is -S- or -O-; R?1, R2 and R6¿ are each hydrogen or C¿1?-C4 alkyl; R?3¿ is hydrogen or a substituent of general formula (a) wherein the atoms adjacent to the nitrogen atom have no unsaturated bond; R?4, R5 and R7¿ are each an arbitrary substituent with the proviso that only one structural skeleton moiety of the formula: HX-C-C-NHR3 or HX-C-C-C-NHR3 (wherein X and R3 are each as defined above) must be contained in the molecule.</p> |
